Halfway to the House,
2020

Magazine paper and glue

I created this collage using a colorful array of subject matters sourced from various magazines. Each selected piece, cut to the desired shapes, was layered to form an eerie abandoned church nestled in the heart of the woods.

This endeavor unfolded during the challenging times of the 2020 pandemic, serving as a cathartic outlet. It allowed me to express the emptiness and dissatisfaction that characterized that period of my life. The worn-down, abandoned structure portrayed in the artwork symbolizes the transformation of a place once teeming with life into a haunting testament to the passage of time.
